Privacy Policy

The short version

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to a server, logged, or shared.

This site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, to count anonymous usage events such as page views and calculator uses. GA4 sets standard first-party analytics cookies (_ga and related identifiers); it never receives anything you type into the calculators.

This site also uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, to measure page views and referrers. Ahrefs is cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

The hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request logs as part of serving the site.

If you email us, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to respond.

How the calculators process information

All calculations — wax per candle, batch totals, fragrance oil weights, fragrance ratios, water-to-wax volumes, weight and volume conversions, batch costs, and wick sizing — are performed by JavaScript running locally in your browser. Calculator inputs (container volumes, wax types, candle counts, fragrance loads, margins, prices, and dimensions) are:

• never transmitted to any server by this site;
• never written into URLs, cookies, or browser storage;
• never sent to Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics, or any other service.

You can verify this yourself: the calculators make no network requests while you use them. If a future feature ever needs to send data anywhere, it will be strictly opt-in, disclosed here first, and never applied to inputs you enter without your explicit action.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like essentially all web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical request logs (such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps) to deliver pages, protect against abuse, and operate its service. This site does not use those logs to profile visitors, and calculator inputs are not part of any URL, so they never appear in request logs. Cloudflare's own handling of operational data is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), measurement ID G-B2YW6DSKF0, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz (Cloudflare's tag manager), to understand which tools and pages are useful. GA4 records page views and usage events (for example, "a calculator was used" or "results were copied"), along with device and browser type, approximate location at city or country level, and the referring page. GA4 uses first-party cookies (_ga and related identifiers) to distinguish visits; this data is sent to Google. It does not receive anything you type into the calculators. Google's own handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

This site also uses Ahrefs Web Analytics, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz (Cloudflare's tag manager), which records page views, referrers, and rough device and browser information. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors across sites. Ahrefs' handling of this data is described in Ahrefs' privacy policy.

Analytics events never include the wax amounts, fragrance oil ratios, dimensions, or any other values you enter — only that a tool was used. No names, emails, addresses, or precise locations are collected by either service on this site's behalf.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or block both services with any standard ad-blocking or tracking-protection browser extension — every part of this site works fully without them.

Cookies

Google Analytics 4 sets standard first-party cookies (_ga and related identifiers) to measure aggregate visits. These are the only cookies this site sets. The calculators themselves do not use cookies or browser storage — nothing you enter is stored anywhere on your device or ours.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

When advertising is enabled on this site, Google AdSense may serve ads and set advertising cookies (for example, to personalize ads and measure their performance). Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising documentation, and you can control ad personalization in Google's Ads Settings.

No advertising is currently served on this site.

Error-report form

The Report an Error form runs entirely in your browser. When you submit it, the form composes an email addressed to the site owner containing the details you entered — either opening it in your own email app, or showing you the composed report to copy and send yourself. Nothing is uploaded to or stored by this site; the report only leaves your device if you choose to send the email. If you include your email address, it is used only to reply to your report.

Contacting us

If you email [email protected], we receive the address and content you send. It is used only to read and reply to your message, is not added to any mailing list, and is not shared with third parties.
